Me and My Training:
I have over 20 years experience in practicing Sivananda and Ashtanga and am fully 200Hr trained with Universal Yoga, I have also trained in TeenYoga and Pregnancy yoga. I have been lucky enough to have been involved in and am now the lead teacher in the south west for the national This Girl Can campaign and for the last 4 years i have been teaching yoga to young people and Corporate yoga to businesses such as Rolls Royce, Lloyds TSB, B&NES . I specialise in Restorative Yin Yoga, Yoga for Mental Health and Yoga Nidra.
Me and What I Do:
Balance is a tricky thing. Not just physically, but in everyday life. I have found that it isn't an all or nothing situation and intend to share that revelation! My name is Lucy and I have been practicing yoga since I was 15 and since then I have gone through many weird and wonderful transformations as have most everyday people. I have found that finding a balance between "normal" life and peace was difficult, but I have found giving yourself a hard time about it is no help at all!
I have been in hospitality since i was born, being born into a publican family and running my own bar from the age of 24 I have had 2 totally different lifestyles running side by side both trying to pull me into their camp full time. It was never going to happen, so I had to find a way to live with them both and it turns out I'm not alone! In this eureka moment Zen Rebel was born! Not everyone wants to sit in silence for a week and eat nothing but juiced kale. I am all about hosting agood times with fabulous food, good quality wine, uplifting music, fun interesting things with interesting people and balancing that with really beautiful yoga flows and proper relaxation to compliment them. My teaching style reflects me and the way I am. All my classes and retreats are suitable for everyone, whether you can't touch your toes or wanna put your toes behind your head, I'm here for you!
My partner in crime is my husband Sid, who is the Yang to my Yin, Mr down to earth, who will be grounding us with hands on practical skills, workshops and being our retreat chef.
